Southtown

Southtown is a Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization project of the City of San Antonio and an Urban Main Street Program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Southtown is a community-based economic development organization, formed to revitalize the commercial corridors of South Alamo, South St. Mary’s and South Presa Streets and the surrounding King William, Lavaca, and Blue Star neighborhoods. Southtown’s mission is to create a human-scale urban village through the strategies of historic preservation and responsive urban design, support of the arts, business development, and aggressive promotion of the area.
